Yoga Tuesdays - All Ability Class
Class Description
A gentle yet strengthening class focused on engaging all parts of the body, calming the mind and the breath leading your movement throughout. This 60 minute class follows a similar structure every week which gives us our foundation. This structure begins with a gentle warm up, sometimes involving Pranayama or breath techniques, followed by sun salutations adapted to your level of ability, and then further standing poses (Asana) before grounding into a deep relaxation to finish. This familiar structure is then flavoured with a particular theme or topic for the class – this might be an anatomical focus, such as twists, or an element of yogic philosophy. In addition, you can expect there to be hands-on adjustments offered by your experienced teacher, which act as a teaching aid and additional means of communication between teacher and Yogi. (If you would prefer not to be offered these adjustments for any reason, please mention this to your teacher as you arrive!) Please do bring your yoga mat (I can provide one or two but these are limited to first come first serve) and some water to drink after the class, as well as some warm socks or a jumper for your relaxation to finish. Ultimately, you can expect a friendly, open environment for you to enjoy connecting to your body, release tension and stress from your day and wind down for a calm evening.
